Day One: or, a Maritimer goes to chemo

Well, apparently Kip can work the room, no matter where it is. It wasn't a long day, we met lots of people, found out their stories, including the entire story of the attending nurse. So far, so good. Kip is not feeling 'like running a marathon' but tolerating these various nasty drugs just fine.

Tonight, we watch Men who Stare at Goats. Thanks for all your thoughts, we will continue to keep you posted.

  3. That east coast penchant for story collection: always good for what ails you, huh?

We're thinking of you all lots from afar--and wait with bated breath for further updates on the likelihood of marathon-running. It's gotta be just around the corner, right?

  4. Thinking of you Kip and praying that the rest of your treatments will be "tolerable". I guess "working the room" was your way of taking the focus off yourself and onto others.

Great photo of you - will look forward to more updates in the days ahead.

  5. Men who stare at goats. O.K. For future viewing, we have Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men -- all the recent classics. Or the so terrible that it's wonderful -- the 1965 8-hour Russian-language version of War & Peace -- dubbed or with sub-titles. All available for indefinite borrowing.

    Thinking of you.
