Sunday, Sept. 6

Hello everyone,
Another good day...feeling more like myself again. Tomorrow I do blood work at 10:00 and then meet with the medical oncologist to go over the results and ensure I'm ready for another round of chemo on Thursday. I'm sure all will be fine.
Catherine left last night for Edmonton. Tomorrow evening she is giving a eulogy at Sharon Rosenberg's memorial service (Sharon, Catherine's closest friend, died of cancer at the end of July). I hope you will join me in sending her love and support for tomorrow evening and the rest of the week in Alberta.
With much love,
Kip

  1. I put Sharon on the dedication list for the deceased at the Buddhist Centre when she died. I will be saying some mantras for Sharon at the time of the memorial. I send Catherine clear healing light through the lojong practice at the same time.

I continue lojong practice for you, especially at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and I ask that you do the same for Karen on the morning of Sept 8 when she sees her oncologist.

  2. Thanks, Roberta. After corresponding with Karen over the past few weeks, I feel I can share with this blog group the news that Karen Fredrickson, a colleague of ours in the Queen's School of Music, was also diagnosed recently with breast cancer. We hope that hers is contained ("in situ") and that she will need only surgery to remove it. Fingers crossed.

  3. Catherine's eulogy was amazing last night. Just beautiful. You would have been proud. We know you were there in spirit, though we missed you all the same.
