Friday, October 29

Hi Friends,
Our friend Judy Garber sent us this card this week from Edmonton and it made us all laugh. Catherine suggested that it was the three of us coming back from chemo - Catherine is in the back, Julie is driving, and the really smiley one in the front is me. Um, not an entirely accurate representation of us perhaps on chemo day but hey, we can all hope!
Thanks, Judy.
Love,
Kip

  3. Hi Kip,

That photo is fun and it looks just like you three! I love the smiles!

I am going to attempt to attach photos of Sam in his 1/2 zombie, 1/2 Sam costume but it may not work I may need to email them to you directly. If I can't attach them to my comment message I'll email them in a minute. He looks so cool and perhaps in an interesting way his 1/2 costume reflects a bit of yourself this fall as some days you feel well or more yourself and others not so much so. You'll see what I mean when you see the photos. Yesterday they wore costumes to school so that is when the pics are from.
And in response to your message from earlier this I ditto what others have said, please feel free to share. Share away whatever you want to share. Our hearts are with you and they are strong.
    Love, Ruth

  4. Hi Kip,

I love the postcard. If you can't express some ghoulish humour with chemo, where can you express it? I hope that you enjoy Halloween and perhaps also Thanksgiving tomorrow evening.

    Love, Ian

  5. Unbelievable resemblance!!!

Thanks for the belly laughs offered with this and the bathtime "story".

Thanks for showing us how to laugh!!!

As they say say here in Italy,
    "Il ridere fa buon sangue."
    "Laughing makes good blood."

Kip, you are proof that Jim Morrison's words live in you. Apparently he said...
"Sorridi sempre, anche se è un sorriso triste, perchè più triste di un sorriso triste c'è la tristezza di non saper sorridere."
"Smile always, even if it's a sad smile, because sadder than a sad smile is the sadness of not knowing how to smile."

    Love,
    Giselle
